Singapore Property Price Index (1960 to 2010)
April 8, 2010 by Admin · 8 Comments
This is done as an extension to the original Private Property Residential Index (Government Measures) prepared by REDAS, which was only until 3Q2007 (sub-prime crisis) – you can find the original pdf here.
We extended the chart to include private residential price index from 3Q2007 onwards until 1Q2010 4Q2010, so it’s a bit easier to see the index movements over the entire period.
Please note – the basis of computing Price Index was amended in 4Q98.
Oh, by the way, you are probably going to want to buy a wide-screen wider-screen monitor after this =)

Wow, this is the first time I see such a comprehensive charting from 1960 up to-date. Did a quick comparison between residential property index and STI. Surprisingly, the upside and downside are quite similar in trend.

With the wider-screen monitor, still have difficulty in reading the chart of “Singapore Property Price Index (1960 to 2010)”. Where can I view the V-high resolution one?
Thanks,
Ken
Hi Ken,
We used the original version (downloadable from REDAS website). Not sure whether the resolution can get any better than this.
Thanks and regards
